BCRCC Float Fly

On the third Sunday of each month, from 9:00-12:00 a.m., BCRCC members can enjoy the thrill of flying RC float planes off a large pond at Rivers Edge Quarry. Club members will receive an email several days before the monthly event announcing “pond flying is on” for the following Sunday. RC boats may also be driven on the pond.

The pond is located about 4.5 miles south of downtown Corvallis, off Hwy 99W on Payne Rd to the east for another 0.5 mile past the active quarry to the pond in the picture below.

Procedures and Rules

• Arrive 9:00 a.m. or later

• Drive slowly past residences and quarry area

• This is an active quarry; guests and children are discourage by our written agreement

• Leave cattle gates as you found them; if you move them to get through, put them back where they were

• Use of aircraft rescue canoe requires two persons; life vests must be worn, not stowed
